Conventional veterinary medicine relies on pharmaceuticals to treat the symptoms of disease and illness, which can result in the cause of the illness to be overlooked. Eastern medicine, such as Chinese medicine and acupuncture, consider the animal as a whole and aims to treat the cause, not just the symptoms. At Holistic Health we believe this is a more thorough approach, as it not only reduces the symptoms, but also prevents the illness or disease from returning.
Along with Chinese herbs, we prescribe Western herbs. These herbs are most commonly used by human naturopaths, to form part, or all, of your pet’s treatment plan. We also use herbal medicine alongside pharmaceuticals to minimise the dose or side effects your pet may experience.
We use herbal medicine to treat; allergies, skin disease, digestive disorders, diabetes, Cushing's disease, epilepsy, arthritis, urinary tract disorders, anxiety, and heart disease. Plus many more.
